Learning Opportunities

Christian Education is responsible for ensuring opportunity for Christian study and growth for all ages.

  • Noon Adult Forum – FOR SUCH A TIME AS THIS: An Emergency Devotional

We are living in very trying times. We, who struggle as a church to do the work of caring for creation and for all of God’s children need to have tools to sort out the days and the work ahead. Join us in the main Sunday School room as we explore a devotional made for times such as ours. Hanna Reichel, professor of systematic theology at Princeton Theological Seminary, draws on her study of the German Confessing Church during the Nazi regime to provide us with the insights we need and with the skills we are called to develop. Here is a schedule of the readings:

    January 6 – Fortify Yourself/Nourish Community
    January 13 – Rehearse Dangerous Memories/Be A Little Conservation
January 20 – Value Different Gifts/Hold Onto Unity
January 27 – Get Out of Yourself/Practice Creative Nonconformity
    February 3 – Cultivate Relationships/Shatter Loneliness
February 10 – Allow People to Change
